Selectmen's Minutes - April 16, 1991

Meeting began at 7:00 p.m.  Consultants from New Town Computer made a presentation re software and the company's experience in dealing with municipal computer software programs - specifically Town Accountant, Treasurer/Collector, Water Dept., Town Clerk and Assessors' Office.  Board, as well as Fin. Com., agreed to continue pursuit of information.

Treasurer/Collector asked Board's permission to open Wednesdays from 9-4 in effort to make accessible for people to pay taxes.

Signed contract with Thevinan and Company for annual audit of the Town.

Approved lieutenants' job description for Fire Dept. and will negotiate into contract.

Voted 3-0 to give permission for Memorial Day Parade on May 27.

Toted to give permission for Boys League Parade on Saturday, April 20.

Voted 3-0 to accept with regret Rose Bartlett's resignation from the Conservation Commission, effective 30.

At 8:10 voted to close warrant for the Special Town Meeting.

Board interviewed three applicants for position of Dog Officer.  DeLory, Powers and Guieva.

Board would send letter to Conservation Commission asking if they would consider using Conservation Fund money to post "No Hunting" signs on the Smith-Nawazelski property.

Read through and accepted articles for the Special Town Meeting.

Meeting adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
